As the blog title suggests, I am a huge Beatles fan. For being together for a short amount of time, they accomplished more as a band than any other other band in the world. They incorporated many types of styles and instrumentation to their music while experimenting with different sounds and ideas. Within ten years they went from a regular boy band with songs about chasing after girls to songs with deeper meaning and heavy Indian influence, with much more in between. Not only were they incredibly witty and funny, they were great musicians and contributed greatly to the world of music.

My purpose of this blog is to show the changes the Beatles experienced from their first few songs like
I Want To Hold Your Hand to later songs like
Let It Be. Instrumentation, style, rhythms and all that sort will be examined.

The meanings behind the songs or how they came to be will also be included. Many people believe their songs are completely centered around drug use and while they did experiment with drugs often, their songs almost always have some sort of influence behind it.

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, believed to stand for the drug LSD, actually got its inspiration from a drawing done by John's son, Julian. |
